freezing baby food

some baby food recipes make extra, or maybe you just want to save it for a later date. most people recommend freezing the food in an ice cube tray. it is even better if you can find an ice cube tray with a lid. after searching to see if babysrus carried something like this in store, (they don't, website only) i found that bed bath and beyond sells an ice cube tray with a lid. (the lid keeps the stink out and from stuff getting into the food) after the food is frozen, you can pop out the cubes and save them in a storage bag.

fave baby food books

these are the books i have been using and like the best. they are easy and practical.

baby foods adventures! - sweet potato

sweet potato baby food. the book i had said to microwave the sweet potato for 8-10 minutes. our microwave is not a very good one, so i cooked it for 10 minutes. it basically mummified it. so i started over and did 7 minutes. it turned out just fine. mushed it up with a fork. i did learn that a lot of formula or milk needs to be added so just a little bit of potato doubles in size.

veteren's honor rose

we had a day of hot weather, and when i checked on my rose it was sad and droopy. after watering it, it perked up and the next day it looked like this!
